Brow transplant in Turkey

A person's eyebrows frame their face and help communicate their feelings. Humans raise their eyebrows to express surprise, curl them to indicate frustration or anger, and raise them slightly to express joy.

Loss of eyebrows is traumatic for the victim, as it tends to change the entire symmetry of the face and alter its expression. Lush eyebrows are considered a symbol of youth, beauty and virility; the bolder the brow, the bolder the beauty.

If you are unhappy with the appearance of your eyebrows due to thinning, you may want to consider an eyebrow transplant in Turkey to help restore your self-esteem and boost your confidence in your facial aesthetics.

What is an eyebrow transplant?

The eyebrow transplant is an aesthetic procedure that permanently corrects alopecia or imperfection of the eyebrows. This operation thus allows to mask the total or partial loss of eyebrows in an aesthetic, effective and harmonious way.

The process is the same as for a hair transplant. The hair follicles needed for the transplant are extracted from the scalp and implanted into the brow bone. The purpose of the operation varies from patient to patient. Thus, the operation can be performed either to restore the entire eyebrow line or to increase hair density, or to hide a scar.

What is the cause of eyebrow loss?

In order to successfully treat eyebrow loss, we must first get to the root of the problem. The most common causes of eyebrow loss are:

  • Excessive and repetitive hair removal is the most common cause
  • Genetically weak eyebrows
  • Alopecia
  • Scars from wounds, burns or tattoos
  • Medical treatments using cytostatic drugs or radiation

People who have lost their eyebrows often use makeup to draw their brows on a daily basis, or take more drastic measures by getting tattoos or microblading on their brows. While some of these methods can produce realistic eyebrows, they never look completely natural and all fade over time.

Why get

Why get an eyebrow transplant?

Although eyebrows are only a small part of your face, they affect your entire appearance. Often, men lose their eyebrows due to hereditary factors, while many women can cause thinning due to excessive shaping. An eyebrow transplant can help restore the appearance of your eyebrows if you are suffering from thinning, baldness, trauma, excessive plucking or even certain types of alopecia.

What to expect

What to expect during an eyebrow transplant?

First, the back of the patient's head is shaved on the back of the neck so that the follicles that will be used for the eyebrow transplant can be harvested. The surgeon then removes the hairs one by one.

The practitioner will draw, with your approval, the new shape of your eyebrows.

The hair is implanted manually on the eyebrows using an ultra-thin punch whose diameter does not exceed one millimeter.

How it works

How does eyebrow transplant surgery work?

The duration of the eyebrow transplant procedure in Turkey is generally shorter compared to hair or beard transplantation. This is because during Hippocratic crown hair removal, there will be fewer follicles to manually remove from the back of the neck and implant into the eyebrows. The surgery to implant the eyebrows is done under local anesthesia. The patient feels absolutely no tingling. The operation is performed on an outpatient basis (without an overnight stay in a clinic), and lasts between 1.5 and 3 hours.

How is it going

How is the recovery going?

Recovery time is fairly quick, although it can vary from person to person. There may be scabs that last a few days. Although they may itch, it is important not to scratch them. It is normal for transplanted hair to fall out as new hair grows, and it can take six months to a year for the eyebrows to be as full as you want them to be.

You may experience pain and tenderness where the grafts are located on your eyebrows. There will also be bruising and swelling on and around your eyebrows for a few days. The redness may also last up to five days. Pain is mild and most patients only take over-the-counter medications if necessary.

Since the purpose of this procedure is to cover the skin of your eyebrows with hair, any small scars left by the incisions will be completely covered.
